DIU hosts APSP and APFDP 2025 in Bangladesh

C.B.Desk: Daffodil International University (DIU) hosted the first edition of the Asia-Pacific Summer Program (APSP) 2025 under the theme “Together, A Great Summer” from July 19–27, 2025, along with the Asia-Pacific Faculty Development Program (APFDP) 2025 from July 24–26, 2025, in-association with the Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP).
APSP 2025 and APFDP 2025 together brought around 60 participants from 17 different countries, including the USA, Sweden, Japan, Türkiye, India, Nepal, Paki, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, the Philippines, Palestine, Russia, Nigeria, Somaliland, Sierra Leone, and Bangladesh.
Prof. Dr. M. R. Kabir, Vice Chancellor of DIU, along with other distinguished guests, graced the closing ceremony and presented Tokens of Appreciation and Certificates to the participants of both programs. The program reached its peak during the Cultural Night and Gala Dinner, where dazzling performances by local and international participants created a vibrant, festive atmosphere.
At APSP, participants experienced an engaging academic journey through 3-credit courses on Social Business for Sustainable Development, AI & Business Analytics, and Mobile Journalism, complemented by industry visits, field trips, and rich cultural exchanges. Meanwhile, APFDP 2025 served as a 3-day platform for transformative discussions on education, research, and innovation among faculty and academic leaders from across the Asia-Pacific region.
This initiative stands as a gateway for global academic exchange and professional development. DIU remains the only university in Bangladesh consistently organizing such large-scale international academic events, fostering global collaboration and connectivity each year.
